Unlearning: the process that allows evolution to occur naturally by removing mental constructions that no longer serve human nature

SPRING BLOSSOMS
Is Unlearning Doing The Same?

Take this website off the list of those who would label what is happening in the world presently as an unfolding nightmare. I won't apologize for using such imagery in the past, as an artist has the right to approach a subject from any attainable vantage point, and perceiving the world in this way certainly is valid considering all that is going on right now (and all that has been going on for the current historical epoch).

But I no longer find that imagery helpful in fulfilling the purpose of The Institute of Unlearning. For those who haven't researched this site thoroughly, that mission is to empower humans by destroying the filters of perception that the present power structure of the world depends upon for its success. Your thoughts about god, politics, sexuality, and the "physical" Kosmos have been deciding how things "turn out" or "show up" on this planet ever since your "first" incarnation. Rarely do we take the time to ascertain whether these thoughts are truly our own.

In exposing thoughts that appear to lead to human suffering, it is easy to get caught up in the storm of negativity that must have spawned them. However, if we are not able to transcend the dark clouds and recognize the sunshine above them, then we are ultimately no better than the fearsome shamans calling them in with their ritual dances, magic and sacrifices.

Unfortunately, too many of the popular "alternative" information sites fail to understand this principle. Fear and scandal draws viewers, whether we are watching the mainstream news or our favorite conspiracy web portal.

It is worth repeating that researching these dark matters is fruitful only to the point where one understands that the system in place is not serving the best interests of human happiness and freedom. To continue to wallow in the morass of our collective ignorance once this level of awareness has been reached is not only harmful to the principles you love, but it makes you culpable for the conditions you are wishing were not so.

For humans, it is not enough to be awake.

Knowledge is not given unless it is asked for. But the price of knowledge is the responsibility to act on it. This is the completed circuit that creates power and its ability to grow in one's soul.

Some will delude themselves into thinking they are ready and willing to act, if only the "right" moment or opportunity would materialize for them. While there is such a thing as Kosmic timing, it can not be counted easily with human clocks and reckoning. At some point, those with power must trust their destinies to a higher source and enter the fray of creating.

The more this unlearner explores the problems and potentials of the human experience, I am constantly reminded of the fact that there is so much more "going on" than most of us will dare to imagine (for good and for ill). While much is hidden from the majority of humans on the physical level, even more is hidden in the realms beyond ordinary sense perception.

However one chooses to access these "realities", each voyage into them is rewarded with tangible perceptions useful for one's present life. The question remains whether the person will then commit him or herself to making that life useful.

It is not the job of this website to tell you what "useful" is. That will depend upon what you are ultimately doing here. What I can tell you is that this website is an invitation to those who feel compelled to create anew the human experience on planet earth.

Are people receiving the invitations? Yes. I choose to see signs of measurable progress in the world.

This week marks the third anniversary of the invasion of Iraq, another of the long list of "enemies" created by the US government for the larger and long-standing game of global empire building among the magical dynastic families of the earth. It was widely reported, whether true or not, that rallies protesting the Iraq war were surprisingly poorly attended when the poll numbers showing dissatisfaction with the "Carlyle Cartel" are at an all time high. One would think our streets should be aflame with revolution by now.

There are two ways to approach this statistical oddity. The first is to recognize that people have been so effectively castrated from their power that virtually any horrid act may now be perpetrated by the elite without fear of repercussion or reprisal. If this is indeed the case, you can be sure that the axe will fall soon and sever the head of this chickenshit nation we have become.

The second approach is to imagine that more people are coming into their own power and beginning to act in ways that are undetectable by the present system, yet powerfully effective in creating change for the positive. This would mean that people correctly see the futility of political protest and demanding justice from a system that doesn't know the definition of that word.

Of course, both of these realities are happening at the same time, and others as well. You have the choice to decide which "wave" to surf. Then again, you may not.

If you ultimately believe your highest self, or the god you worship outside of yourself, to be benevolent, then all that is happening, has happened, or will ever happen can only be to the addition of your great good fortune.

The limitations, lack, or suffering that we perceive in our lives may only be playing their part as the grand backdrop to a great experience you are ultimately creating for yourself. If that experience is the unfolding awareness of your awesomeness, beauty, abundance, splendor and power, then the darkness we perceive is only a reflection of the limited understanding of ourselves, yet an essential part of the game we are playing. I can live with that, knowing that each action I take to peel away the ignorance is rewarded with incremental amounts of joy.

Then again, the human experience on earth may be limited in the opportunities it can provide for an evolving spirit. Perhaps other realms exist where more positive human potentials can be explored. And of course, there is always the non-human option of existence.

You can frustrate yourself endlessly chasing this tail, or you can simply, like a dog or cat, choose to enjoy it. Perhaps if, like those animals, we had the ability to lick our own privates, we wouldn't care at all!
