FOOL'S GOLD
Alternative Crowd Still Attracted by Fear's Glitter
Navigating the road to personal empowerment is not as easy as using MapQuest or Google to chart one's course. But like the highways we travel in our cars, the road to truth is littered with "billboards" whose purpose is to steer you off your path for the purpose of enticing you out of your money literally (and power symbolically). In America, at least, one of the more obnoxious advertisements littering the alternative avenues of thought comes from those hawking investments in gold. Sadly, many will find themselves lured into a gilded trap no more comfortable than the reality they think they are leaving behind.
The chief reason for this unlearned denunciation of gold has nothing to do with spiritual primacy over a material existence. The two can not be separated in a Kosmos that knows itself principally as One. It has everything to do with the motive on which the trading of gold promotes itself. If you have ever come across any of these ads, and chances are you have, you will easily recognize that the whole pitch is shrouded with fear.
We are told that the world market will soon collapse and that only gold will be accepted as currency. Those who will best survive the coming changes had best have a treasure chest of the revered booty, lest ye become a vagabond like all the unwise who failed to heed the warnings. We hear that gold prices are skyrocketing, and that we better "get in" before its too late.
Wretchedly, the sale of gold promotes a profit that is driven by the misfortune of the many. It is no better than the rapacious profits gained in the stock markets, where riches are created at the expense of the labor force and owes much of its successes to illicit drug money laundering. Like oil, we also continue to pretend that scarce things have value and that goodness can not be enjoyed by anything that exists in abundance.
But even if we disregarded the fear-based thinking that drives desperate people into the market manipulators' hands, the gold fever racing through alternative circles is just plain highly impractical. If the coming "collapse" that everyone fears (but at the same time is waiting to happen) actually does occur, then we are talking about an economy that will not base itself on precious metals any longer. And those that do think gold will save them may find themselves targets for other equally insane people who failed to stock up before the collapse.
If your imagination can not move beyond this grim scenario, then there's
still quite a bit of unlearning left to be done. Those buying into the
gold propaganda are unconsciously trying to protect a worldview that has
demonstrated itself to be problematic in the first place. After all, who
decided that gold should be one of our most precious metals?
Change is a natural function of time in the physical world in which we live. Trying to stop it or reverse it has never shown itself to be anything but a foolish endeavor.
Yet so many in the alternative crowd continue to insist that we "protect our country", "save our constitution", and "defend our god" from the forces of "evil" that have assailed them from the beginning. Victory for them is defined as "standing your ground" or returning to "traditional values". These romanticized notions of success are anathema to a spirit whose true nature is to constantly expand the boundaries of what is known and what is possible. This irony remains elusive to so many "patriots" and "truthseekers".
This is where the Illuminati and their thralls excel over the so called awakened masses that are "on to" the grand conspiracy of the ages. They understand that change is unavoidable, but they have become masters at riding that wave, and more importantly, harnessing its power to their collective will. And like so many "reformers" before them, many in the alternative truth movement will find themselves as nothing more than mere pawns unless they learn to harness the power of change for themselves.
And how is this power harnessed? One begins by accepting that power is in one's possession. Then one accepts the principle that there is enough power for everyone so that you don't have to take it from others or beg others to provide it to you. Finally, one commits to using imagination and creativity to will a new experience into reality.
In the case of the economic collapse the gold mongers are hoping for, those without gold could live highly fruitful lives if they collectively engineered their community to exist on a spirit of goodwill and sharing for all. For those not able to reach such lofty motivations, anything can be transformed into money that would rapidly alleviate the misery that central banks would try to engineer. Flowers, sea shells and walking sticks were all highly successful forms of money in earlier times and could be so today, if our imaginations were not so easily seduced by the plastic, paper and precious metals controlled by the dynastic robber barons of the world.
The Christian scriptures say that man can not serve both god and money. This is not a condemnation of money as much as it is a lesson about where true power lies. God (YOU) are the creator and by your very nature, create things to serve you. The illusion of money has effectively reversed that natural order in our world. Only when you see yourself as power and wealth will money become your servant once again. Until that time, those who wield it best continue to have sway over your life.
The reason for gold's predominance in the collective mind has an alchemical origin. That long lost art saw gold as the physical representation of the divine being they all worshipped, the Sun.
It is no surprise to the unlearner that the Christian Patriot audience is the target for many of these gold promotions littering the internet "airwaves", for they too worship the Sun in the highly humanized myth of Jesus.
For the unlearner, the only gold worth pursuing is the divine spark shining
brightly in the core of your being. Recognized and cultivated, one provokes
an alchemical transformation on herself and the rest of his world. It is
a gold not meant to be hoarded, but shared with all whom would desire to
receive it, as the sun's rays have been doing to earth since the beginning.
Perhaps we will all bask in that reality one day soon.
