Unlearning: the process that allows evolution to occur naturally by removing mental constructions that no longer serve human nature

AMERICA'S SUICIDE
The Self-Inflicted Death of Decency and Liberty

There is the acknowledged fact in the "alternative thinking crowd" that the world is under the manipulation of a secret cabal of self-interested forces motivated by what appears to be humanity's darkest shadows. Many authors and researchers have taken great pains to expose these networks of power that have usurped representative governments, public education, mainstream media and the fields of science and medicine all over the world. What tends to get lost in the search for the "conspirators" is that the common person is the chief conduit of power enabling the entire structure of suppression. It is as if we are happily destroying ourselves as well as the dreams for which we strive.

There are many examples that will bring this point home. One I recently became aware of was the scandal of ADR related deaths in the United States. ADR stands for "adverse drug reactions" and, according to Shane Ellison, author of Health Myths Exposed (www.healthmyths.net), it is fast climbing the ladder of the leading causes of death in the United States. Ellison stresses in his book that ADR results from taking a drug exactly as it is prescribed by a doctor and the guidelines of the FDA. More than 100,000 people in the US die each year from ADR.

In other words, the Food and Drug Administration, another of the many supposed "guardians of the public good" is knowingly sentencing a genocidal amount of American citizens to their graves each year. One would think that the FDA is supposed to step in and stop this pharmaceutical slaughter, what Ellison rightly compares to a holocaust, but that kind of thinking would be grossly ignorant of the way America and the world works. Instead, the FDA has played an integral part in sanctioning the murder-for-profit economy.

As a former history teacher, I often wondered how the prisoners in Nazi concentration camps walked so sheepishly to their demise. We all must ponder that again today, as Americans are literally lining up to take the poison pills that Big Pharma seductively markets to them with FDA approval. We are so addicted to our own destruction that we are encouraging Congress to give us MORE money for prescription drugs, instead of rightly destroying the offending chemicals and organizations that spawned them.

Perhaps the drugging of our country is the reason why many of us fail to see our own government's hand in the terror atrocity of 9/11. Maybe this is the reason why we are too scared to assert our financial freedom from the fear mongers in the IRS. Possibly, it is even the reason why we will happily burn the Constitution when the next big manufactured terror event surfaces upon our soil.

The bemoaning of human oppression is nothing new. The examples I've shared above are simply the latest time and culture-specific ones that make sense to us today. Long before any of our modern world forms of chicanery evolved, ancient ones such as religion served to lull humanity into a passive state. We have been accustomed to being raped and fleeced for aeons.

And perhaps this is the way it should be. Or perhaps it just simply is the way it is, no "should" at all. Why consciousness on earth is set up to behave this way is open to wide speculation. In trying to make sense of it all, we must ultimately come up with an answer, correct or not, that motivates us to live our lives with passion.

As stated many times in the two years since the IOU became a web presence, the goal for unlearning is to lead people to their own empowerment. It is easy to observe from living on earth that human consciousness is incredibly powerful, yet is it also extremely immature, afraid of its own shadow. The conditions of our imprisonment will remain self-created until we mature enough to face the consequences of our harmful patterns of behavior.

This does not mean "taking down the system" unless you want it to mean that. What it does mean is that the responsibility of breaking the pattern of external manipulation in your life is up to you. No one can save you from ADR if you choose to rely on prescription drugs as the means to health. No one can stop the financial pillaging of your labor by the IRS until you start rebutting the lies you and your employer have been telling them. No one can prevent you from being a victim in the "war on terror" unless you do not allow yourself to be terrorized by your own government.

Each of these choices will bring you face to face with the fear of your own death. "What will happen to me if I stand up for the truth as I see it?" we wonder. It seems safer to be quiet and just go along with what everyone else is doing.

"Safe" is what 100,000 people thought they were last year when they were taking a prescription drug to help them get better.

"Safe" is watching hundreds of thousands of your dollars, over the course of your life, go to wasteful government projects that promote misery and suffering around the world and at home.

"Safe" is watching your own government blow the World Trade Center to smithereens, then go on a global rampage to murder over 100,000 people in a non-threatening country (on top of the 1 million already killed in Iraq through a decade of sanctions and bombing).

"Safe" is what the world does not feel when it thinks about the United States of America, the land of supposed truth and liberty.

As you can see, these are safe choices only to the most delusional of personalities. Death is indeed upon this country, growing faster than the sudden tsunami that devastated Indonesia a few months ago. It is not a death we should fear, however. Like all "deaths" there is an opportunity hidden within it.

And that opportunity is to shape the course of the next "life". The American Dream (individual freedom and opportunity) can live the whole world over only if you are willing to live it in your heart. But if you decide to give it up for the apparent safety that your "rescuers" will offer you in the choosing moment, you will have resolved yourself to another round of oppressive experiences.

Don't be deceived into thinking that the unlearned life is trouble-free. Choosing your own power will certainly bring troubles of its own. Trouble may be the only reason why we are all here on earth to begin with. Unlearners don't see this as a troubling thought!

Before the eagle became the national bird of the United States, our Freemasonic masters proposed that it should be the mythical phoenix. Perhaps they always knew that our country would one day end up in flames, designed to do so by their self-imploding architecture. What rises up from this Masonic sacrifice will either save the world or consume it whole. Your answer is waiting to be heard.

Whose Life are You Living?
