ISLAM UNLEARNED
The Power of Submission
It is fitting (on some interpretive level) that the West currently finds itself in a fabricated War on Terror against the "fanatical" forces of Islamic culture geographically centered in the Near East. In one corner of this metaphysical showdown is the champion of so-called individualism while in the other corner is the defender of the principle of total submission to a power greater than any individual standing on its own. As is usually the case with these globally-manipulated scenarios, the common person shall be the loser no matter which side prevails unless, of course, that person is an unlearner.
In their most base understanding, neither individualism nor submission is to be strived for. The West has blown the sense of Self so out of proportion that many in the "free" world live extremely isolated lives from their neighbors and families. Our hallmark has been the creation of an ego so fragile that we deem it necessary to create laws to inhibit our speech and expression on the chance that one from our super-sensitized citizenry might become offended. What we have exalted as a god-given quality may ultimately create a hell-spawned reality if our fractiousness continues.
Yet blind submission to anything or anyone can be no cherished principle. History is full of tragedies wrought out of an unquestioning obedience to power, divine or human. Behaving in such a fashion, groups of all sizes have shown themselves to be little better than livestock, whose life force is harvested for the benefit of an altogether different species. The stream of evolution seems to eddy and stagnate when we follow such a path.
It is important to realize that the power brokers at the top of the global pyramid benefit no matter which ideology is favored. Divided as individuals, we exist cut off from our divinity and our common humanity. It has been all too easy for the elite to divide and conquer during this wave of civilization. If the path of obedience is chosen, then the manipulation is all the easier, as the task is simply to control the leaders and the doctrines they espouse.
What, if anything, can be gleaned from this staged conflict? I would submit (pun intended) that there is a middle way, a balanced perspective, that if chosen, will yield to the unlearner a power beyond rational understanding; a power so important that if it were to be unleashed en masse, the global game could not continue in its ways of producing lopsided benefits to the cabal of manipulators who currently rule the roost.
If you are of a Western bent, the chance to balance yourself will come by yielding some of your cherished individuality and submitting to a Higher force. This force is not a biblical deity, political ideology or economic system based in materialism. If you are able to contact this force within you, you will know beyond a shadow of a doubt that your life is not as free as you once thought. This does not mean that you have no choice in your life, but it does mean that you can only choose from within the scope of a chosen perspective.
If your disposition has been one of unquestioning submission thus far, your balance point emerges once you decide to differentiate from the norms you've grown so accustomed to. This power is easier to notice initially because of the force needed to break away from the pack. Yet it is also in many ways the more frightening of the two paths. Drifting into a life full of questions and uncertainty will require a strong grounding in the sense of your Self. The temptation will be strong to go back to sleep once you've awakened, as you will realize that very few souls seem as eager as you to see things for what they are.
If you can wrap your mind around this understanding, you will see that your life evolves as a sort of dance with yourself. Things flow smoothly when "both partners" move in harmony to the music being played. As the synergy builds, you find that not only do you have the grace of step, but you may also develop the skill to call the tune!
As in so many other editorials featured on this website, the process being described here is one of empowerment. To an independent-minded person, the word submission almost sounds like a dirty word. After all, how can power be gained through an act of submission when domination seems the more likely route? But submit you will, in that you have no choice. Once you accept this aspect of third density life, it merely becomes a question of whom or what you submit to. All world religious and spiritual traditions teach of such a choice but unfortunately trick their followers into choosing foolishly.
How do you know if you are submitting to the proper "authority"? Take a good hard look at your life. Are you experiencing all that you dream for in your life or do you exist so that others may build their dreams from the anguished sweat of your labor? The question below continues to be the most important question of all.
