DESCENT INTO DARKNESS
Is Humanity on the Way Up or Way Down?

The journey of unlearning is often a precipitous one. Not only must the unlearner deal with the emotional effects of having his initial worldview blown to smithereens by the truth, but she must also contend with the ego in its ever more desperate attempts to force one back into the world of illusion…any illusion. Chief among these egoic attempts is the illusion of superiority because one “knows more” than the average human toiling mindlessly for the world's power masters.

Luckily, if one is concerned with the truth and not with power, the unlearning process will humble you at every turn. Even though truth and power are intimately related, we must be careful to see the distinctions between them. Power is often interpreted in this world as the ability to exert one's will “over another”. This power over concept must relegate truth, at all costs, to a scarce commodity; otherwise the spread of truth would threaten those who wield power over the ignorant. This has been the mechanics on which human civilization has depended since its emergence from the Great Flood and other earth cataclysms thousands of years ago.

What matters most in the unlearning process, and most likely in all of living, is one's intention for doing a thing. Achieving truth with the intention of increasing understanding provides a liberation not necessarily linked with material wealth. Power is given nonetheless, whether or not the unlearner should seek to exercise it. Achieving truth as a means of attaining power will also bear fruitful results, but one can easily become lost in the struggle to hold or increase power, which can lead to truths being forgotten and corrupted of their original essence.

What prompted these musings were discoveries recently made by this author that increasingly shed light on our ancient past. Authors such as David Icke, Tony Bushby, and the countless researchers past on whose shoulders they stand, continue to do a great service to mankind by brazenly baring the stories of old.

As a dedicated unlearner, I must laugh when I hear claims of how advanced and civilized our modern world is. The more the truth is revealed about our planet's history, the more it becomes apparent that we are still very much in the midst of a Dark Age in more than a few respects. It can even be argued that humanity may still be falling into ever deeper depths, as it has been the pattern of the powerful to destroy the memory our ancient heritage since the modern run at civilization began nearly 6,000 years ago.

While it seems that this may be cause to despair, the unlearner will remember that truth has a power that our present world structure greatly fears. It has the ability, in an instant, to render the lies upon which power now presently sits utterly useless. It is the great human question of this time whether or not this truth shall emerge forcefully to emancipate the human spirit or be consigned to rise in a now distant epoch.

As with all worthy quests, the trait of courage will be heavily relied upon. It is no small matter to abandon the programming fed to you since your conception. But if you are one of those humans who know in your heart and elsewhere that this world is currently expressing itself well below its divine and innate potential, then the quest is ready-made for you. It is not a call to conquer others who do not see the world as you do. It is a call to conquer the "others" who have invaded the sacred space of your mind and soul so that you see the world as they do.

The Institute of Unlearning is dedicated to taking “the plank out of its own eye first before it attempts to remove the splinter from another's.” However, as the planks and splinters fall from eyes all around this planet, we shall gather again to re-imagine a world in our image. It is clear from this author's point of view that we've certainly had enough of “god's image” of things.

WHOSE LIFE ARE YOU LIVING?
